The arrival of Version 1.3 for Zenless Zone Zero, titled 'Virtual Revenge,' heralds a plethora of exciting updates designed to enhance the gaming experience for both newcomers and veterans alike. This significant update introduces new characters and engaging storylines that promise to enrich gameplay.
Among the most noteworthy additions are two fresh playable characters, Tsukishiro Yanagi and Lighter. Yanagi is classified as an S-rank Anomaly Electric agent belonging to the Section 6 faction. Her combat approach showcases various stances that provide different kinds of advantages, and she possesses the unique ability to trigger the Polarity Disorder special effect, enabling colossal damage against foes afflicted with the Anomaly status.
Lighter, the other S-rank agent, embodies Stun Fire and represents the Sons of Calydon gang. He comes with elemental attribute enhancements and can regain Morale as fellow teammates expend energy. Upon accumulating sufficient Morale, he can shift into a Morale Burst state, significantly amplifying his capabilities.
The update also brings two new S-rank W-Engines: Anomaly Timeweaver and Stun Blazing Laurel. Furthermore, players can look forward to two new A-rank Bangboos, featuring the endearing Babbieboo and the Knightboo, which can now be acquired through the new in-game event titled 'Mystery of Arpeggio Fault.'
In addition to the new characters and items, Version 1.3 introduces fresh story content, including the central 'Virtual Revenge' special episode and a corresponding narrative for Lighter. Existing locations have also received updates, such as the new San–Z Studio structure within Lumina Square, which boasts a Display Stand in Random Play, allowing players to showcase items acquired there.
A sandwich truck has appeared in Lumina Square as well, but its presence is temporary, coinciding with the limited-time event named 'When Sandwiches Come A Knockin.' A range of other events has kicked off, including one that rewards players with ten Encrypted Master Tape items just for daily logins.
This overview barely scratches the surface of what Version 1.3 has to offer. For a comprehensive breakdown, players can visit the official Update Details page on the Zenless Zone Zero website. If you're eager to explore, the game is currently available as a free-to-play option on PlayStation 5 and mobile platforms.
