Kevin Feige has occasionally mulled over the idea of a Marvel and DC crossover, hinting at the tantalizing possibility of such an event. While being cautious, Feige did leave a glimmer of hope for fans who dream of the ultimate superhero crossover.
Feige admitted to Collider that he sometimes entertains the thought, much like any fan would. With James Gunn now a major player at DC Studios, the notion seems more intriguing than ever. However, Feige remains uncertain about when or how such an ambitious project would come to fruition. He emphasized that despite long discussions, there are no current plans, although he doesn't rule it out entirely. Feige mentioned he's seen sneak peeks of the Superman set, indicating that both studios have their own priorities right now.
It's unlikely to see Superman or Batman share the screen with Scarlet Witch or the Fantastic Four in the near future, even though the two comic giants have crossed paths in print, notably in the 1996 DC vs. Marvel event. Still, the idea of "never say never" continues to fuel fans' imaginations.
For now, Marvel's focus remains on upcoming releases like Deadpool and Wolverine, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Marvel Phase 5 will also include new titles such as Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts, along with Avengers movies slated for 2026 and 2027.
On the DC front, 2025 will mark the start of a new era with Superman, ushering in the live-action phase of DCU Chapter One. Additionally, an animated series called Creature Commandos is set to debut on Max in December.
For those eager to stay updated, there are numerous new superhero movies and anticipated Marvel films on the horizon. There are also helpful guides available for viewing the Marvel and DC movies in their proper sequence.
